What goes down, must come up..
Art often gives shape to moods that are difficult to describe with words. Intense feelings of joy and inspiration, but often also fear, voices, or other mental struggles. Where a perception of reality is influenced from within, art provides an outlet. Art begins where words are inadequate. What goes down, must come up..
For this exhibition, we have invited the artists Myrrhe van Spronsen and Roos van Lierop to show their work with us.
Myrrhe van Spronsen is a physician, neuroscientist, artist and experience expert in psychosis. Her early work shows her fascination with modern art and pop art, rendered in expressive human figures.
Roos van Lierop draws inspiration from people and the human spirit. She relies on her creative and unconscious associations, which leads to surprising combinations.
In addition, some of our own artists will show their internal world: Roland van Eck, for whom his work feels like a liberation, Ronald Schriel, for whom art functions as a source of trust, Antoine Monoid de Froideville, where everything exists by the grace of its opposite, and Edward Teeuw, whose style refers to experimentation.
