Solo exhibition Tim ter Wal
From June 16 to August 18, 2017
Drawing Tim ter Wal (1984) started at the age of 3. He could not speak yet, but he knew how to express himself with signs. The impressions he had gained on the way to school stimulated his imagination and he processed them with chalk on the blackboard. Drawing brought peace to his mind.
He gets his inspiration from what he observes in his environment when he is on the road in the car or on a walk, usually these are buildings and landscapes. All these impressions are processed into fine pencil drawings under the guidance of his imagination.
In recent years he has invariably drawn on A3 paper, sometimes an individual drawing, but more often a two-, three- or multi-panel. His drawings are more detailed than a photo and will therefore be accompanied during the exhibition with a magnifying glass, which the attentive viewer can use well.
Tim is not affiliated with Atelier Herenplaats, but we are honored to host his first major solo exhibition. For art prints of Tim’s work, go to the Maison Savant website.
