OPENING EXHIBITION FRIDAY 17/11/2017

Driven by the unusual, Troelstra has focused on portraying people with a frayed edge; they sometimes find it difficult to fit in with society. In ‘Meesters van Herenplaats’ you come face to face with these unconventional artists and you get to know their hypersensitivity and extraordinary creativity.

Following the exhibition ‘New Masters’ in the Outsider Art Museum (4/10/2017 – 28/05/2018), Sander Troelstra shows the five portraits of Herenplaats artists in our gallery: Ben Augustus, Hein Dingemans, Mies van der Perk , Jeroen Pomp and Coen Ringeling.

Sander has won the ‘Dutch National Portrait Award 2016’ with the portrait of Ben Augustus. In addition to portraits, Herenplaats shows special works by these artists.

The exhibition opening is Friday 17/11 – 5 pm.
